In this sermon we look at the simple truths conveyed in Christ as the only door for sinners. How does Christ comparing Himself to a door, communicate the Gospel? How is going through a door like exercising faith?
How is is that Jesus could pray to the Father and say, “Glorify Me”? How could Jesus require for eternal life, not just knowing God, but also Himself? How was Jesus Father-Centered?
God does not play to the relativistic thinking of our day. God does have absolutes. There is only one opinion that matters and it’s not our opinion, it’s God’s. God knows what pleases Him and He says there is one way to please me, and that is “if you would come to Me, you draw near to me with faith.”
One of the heresies that was going on, during the time 1 John was written, was that some were saying Jesus Christ could not have actually been a man in the flesh.

Faith is the firm assurance and conviction that the invisible God is who He says He is and will do what He has promised to do.
