The people who Paul calls to “cleanse” themselves “from every defilement of body and spirit” are called “beloved”. It is only by being one of the beloved that a person can live out this verse. So how then does someone become a beloved of the Lord? Tim goes to Acts 20:21 in which we read of Paul testifying of “repentance toward God and of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.” Therefore, in this sermon Tim will seek to make it clear what repentance and faith are according to the Scriptures.
