I want you all to think about this. Why would this author, after giving a blistering threat(Heb.10.26) like this, turn around and say “recall the former days”? The purpose of my sermon today is to show you what the connection is. Our author wants these folks to remember and recall their former days for a reason, because their was something about how they lived in former days which is true of people who don’t ultimately fall away in the end. There was something real about their faith and their life that is true of those who endure.
